Want to run separate drafts for veterans and rookies—or even multiple drafts each season?
You can do that on Sleeper. There’s no limit to how many drafts you can create in your league.
How Supplemental Drafts Work
Supplemental drafts let you add additional drafts after your initial startup draft.
Common use cases:
Run a veteran startup draft, then a rookie draft
Add extra drafts for special formats or league needs
Adding Supplemental Drafts
1. Enable Supplemental Drafts
To get started:
This unlocks the ability to add supplemental drafts. You can switch back later if needed.
2. Complete Your Startup Draft
Your dynasty league’s first draft is your startup draft.
If you want this to be a veteran-only draft:
Complete this draft as normal.
3. Add a Supplemental Draft
Once your startup draft is finished:
Your league will return to pre-draft mode, but:
All existing rosters stay intact
Previous draft results are preserved
4. Set Up Your Rookie Draft
For a rookie-only draft:
In the Draft Settings, set Available Players to Draft → Rookies Only
You can now run your rookie draft separately from your startup draft.
Supplemental Draft Limits
Each supplemental draft is limited to 10 rounds
You can create as many drafts as needed (one at a time)
