Sleeper's MLB Injury Insurance policy applies to players who meet the following criteria:

  • Player is removed from the game due to injury with 2 or less plate appearances (batters) or 8 or less outs recorded (pitchers) and does not return to the game. Note that pitchers who record 8 or less outs before a game delay and are removed upon the game restarting due to the delay may be eligible for insurance.

In the instance your contest contains a MORE pick on a player who meets this criteria, that player's pick will be voided and treated as a DNP.

If your contest still includes at least 2 players from multiple teams after applying Injury Insurance, it will be graded with an adjusted payout as if the voided pick was not included. If your contest no longer includes at least 2 players from multiple teams after applying Injury Insurance, your entire contest entry will be canceled and refunded.

Please allow up to 48 hours after the completion of a game for contests to be updated.

Injury Insurance details

  1. If you pick LESS on a player who meets the Injury Insurance criteria, your pick will be graded as a win if the player's recorded stat is less than their projection.

  2. If you pick MORE on a player who meets the Injury Insurance criteria, your pick will be graded as a win if the player hits their projection before getting injured.

  3. Injury Insurance does not apply to players who are ejected from the game, benched due to performance/coach's decision, or removed from the game for any reason other than an injury reported from an official team source.

FAQ

Q: My player left the game due to injury and only had 2 At-Bats, but Injury Insurance was not applied, what happened?

Q: The pitcher I chose was pulled from the game after only 4 outs, but wasn’t voided, why?

A: Injury Insurance only applies to players that are removed due to an injury, if a player’s coach decides to remove them from a game for a reason other than injury, Injury Insurance will not be applied.
