Sleeper's NBA Injury Insurance policy applies to players who meet the following criteria:

  • Player is removed from the game in the 1st half due to injury and does not return in the 2nd half.

In the instance your contest contains a MORE pick on a player who meets this criteria, that player's pick will be voided and treated as a DNP.

If your contest still includes at least 2 players from multiple teams after applying Injury Insurance, it will be graded with an adjusted payout as if the voided pick was not included. If your contest no longer includes at least 2 players from multiple teams after applying Injury Insurance, your entire contest entry will be canceled and refunded.

Please allow up to 48 hours after the completion of a game for contests to be updated.

Injury Insurance details

  1. If you pick LESS on a player who meets the Injury Insurance criteria, your pick will be graded as a win if the player's recorded stat is less than their projection.

  2. If you pick MORE on a player who meets the Injury Insurance criteria, your pick will be graded as a win if the player hits their projection before getting injured.

  3. Injury Insurance does not apply to players who are ejected from the game, benched due to performance/coach's decision, or removed from the game for any reason other than an injury reported from an official team source.

FAQ

Q: I picked a player who received less playing time than normal due to injury recovery, can he be voided?

A: Injury Insurance will only be applied if a player is removed from the game due to an injury and does not play in the second half. It will not apply in instances where a player has a minutes restriction.

Q: My player fouled out/got ejected, will he be voided?

A: We do not apply Injury Insurance if a player is removed from the game due to fouls.

Q: The player I chose only entered the game in the last minute due to a blowout, will he be DNP’d?

A: If a player enters the game and logs any playing time, they will be graded as normal, no matter the duration of that playing time. Except in cases where the player was removed due to injury and does not play in the second half.
