After Game Waivers & Custom Daily Waivers

Learn how the two options work on their own and when both are enabled

There are a couple of waivers options that you can have on at the same time.
The After Game Waivers are used for in-season while the Custom Daily Waivers are used more for the off-season, but can still be used at any time.

After Game Waivers

This setting allows your league to specify when players clear waivers after playing in a game. Whether they play on Thursday night or Sunday afternoon, that player will not be able to be added until the day that you choose. However, claims could be made during that period, and you're also able to turn off waivers completely.

Daily Custom Waivers

You can choose a specific time of the day or night for waiver claims to clear every 24 hours.

There are 4 different options for each day as pictured below:

  • Navigate to your league’s General Settings (not the Commish tab).

  • Enable Custom Daily Waivers.

  • Set each day’s player availability mode (e.g., Waivers, FA, Locked) and the waiver processing time.

Custom Waiver Types:

FA

  • All players will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis for the entirety of the day. The only ones who may not be are any that have recently been dropped, but only if you have the time players are on waivers after drop setting enabled.

Waivers

  • This will put all players on waivers for the day. They will then process at your selected time. After that processing time, all players will be on waivers again for at least the remainder of that day.

Locked

  • This will prevent players from being added via free agency or waivers for the entire day.

Waivers -> FA

  • This will have all players on waivers clear at the selected processing time. After that, all players will be free agents for at least the remainder of the day.

Why are all of the players free agents after our draft?

You'll need to turn on these Daily Custom Waivers in order to prevent all undrafted players from becoming free agents immediately after your draft.

To lock players after the draft:

  • Enable Custom Daily Waivers.

  • Set undrafted players to remain on waivers until your desired FAAB waiver processing date.

  • Configure the target date to process FAAB waivers at your chosen time.

This is the only way that you can have offseason waivers.

Example Scenarios

Keeping Players on Waivers Until Tuesday Noon

  1. Set After Games Waivers Clear to "None."

  2. Lock waiver processing on Sunday and Monday.

  3. Set Tuesday to process waivers at NOON.

Weekly Waivers on Wednesday at 5 PM

  • Enable Custom Daily Waivers.

  • Set After Games Waivers Clear to Wednesday.

  • Configure Wednesday as Waivers → FA and set the processing time to 5 PM.

What if I enable After Game Waivers & Custom Daily Waivers?

If both options are enabled, the pending claims would be pushed back to whichever has the later time.

  • For example, selecting "None" for After Games Waivers Clear ensures players remain on waivers until your custom processing time. Removing default clear times (e.g., 3 AM Wednesday) defers to your custom waiver time (e.g., 5 PM Wednesday).

Using the example above, players would be on waivers from the start of their games until the end of the day on Tuesday. Then, waivers would process every day at 2 a.m. until their individual games start the following week.

What if I choose neither?

By choosing neither, all players will be free agents and can be added immediately by any owner.
