There are two different scoring formats available in NFL Pick'em, 'Spread' and 'Straight'. Your picks will be scored based on your pool's scoring settings, which can be changed by the pool commissioner any time before the season kicks off.
'Spread' scoring
Pick each game against the listed spread and receive a point if your team covers. The minus sign (-) indicates the team that is favored, the plus sign (+) indicates the underdog.
Example: Buffalo Bills (-6.5) vs. Arizona Cardinals (+6.5)
If you pick the Buffalo Bills (-6.5), you will only receive a point if the Bills win by 7 or more
If you pick the Arizona Cardinals (+6.5), you will receive a point if the Cardinals lose by 6 or less or win the game outright
Pick'em spreads shown are subject to change until a 'lock' icon appears next to a team's spread. Spreads for the upcoming week's games will lock starting on Tuesday mornings.
Note that you may change a game's pick at any time before kickoff, even if the spread is locked!
'Straight' scoring
Pick the outright winner of each game and receive a point if you predict correctly! Just like in 'Spread' scoring, you may change a game's pick any time before kickoff.
