Here at Sleeper, we know how terrible a bad beat can feel. Injuries are unavoidable, but Sleeper's Injury Insurance helps alleviate the pain. Our Injury Insurance policy helps counter bad luck by voiding players who get injured early in their selected game.

Sleeper's Injury Insurance policy applies to players who meet the following criteria:

  • NFL: Player leaves the field in the 1st half due to injury and does not return in the 2nd half.

    • Only offensive players are eligible.

    • Pre-season picks are not eligible.

  • CFB & CBB: Player leaves the game in the 1st half due to injury and does not return in the 2nd half.

    • Only offensive players from top-25 matchups are eligible.

  • NBA & WNBA: Player leaves the court in the 1st half due to injury and does not return in the 2nd half.

  • MLB:

    • Batters: Player leaves the game due to injury with 2 or fewer plate appearances and does not return to the game.

    • Pitchers: Player leaves the mound due to injury with 8 or fewer outs recorded and does not return. Pitchers who record 8 or fewer outs before a game delay and are removed upon the game restarting due to the delay are eligible.

  • NHL: Player leaves the ice due to injury in the 1st period and does not return in the 2nd or 3rd period.

Regrading details

When a player is Injury Insured, their MORE picks that lost are voided as if the pick was not included in the contest then the contest is regraded with the remaining entry picks.

If the contest still includes at least 2 player picks from more than one team, then it will be graded normally but with an adjusted payout multiplier to not include the insured player's pick multiplier.

If the contest no longer includes at least 2 player picks from multiple teams, then the contest will be canceled and refunded.

Injury Insurance details

  1. If you pick LESS on a player who meets the Injury Insurance criteria, your pick will be graded as a win if the player's recorded stat is less than their projection.

  2. If you pick MORE on a player who meets the Injury Insurance criteria, your pick will be graded as a win if the player hits their projection before getting injured.

  3. Injury Insurance does not apply to players who are ejected from the game, benched due to performance/coach's decision, or removed from the game for any reason other than an injury reported from an official team or league source.

Note: In addition to the reasons above, Sleeper reserves the right to void, change, or remove any pick at its sole discretion.
