Welcome to Sleeper Daily Draft, a fantasy game mode where you draft a team and compete in weekly real-money contests against other users. Enter a $1 draft, build your lineup, and compete for cash payouts. If you like your team, you’ll also have the option to enter higher-stakes bonus contests for even bigger prizes.

Drafting Your Team

Drafts run automatically every 5 minutes, 24 hours a day. Each draft requires a $1 entry fee.

When you enter a draft:

  • You’ll be randomly assigned a draft position

  • You’ll draft against seven other users

  • If a draft does not fully fill, CPU bots will auto-draft for missing opponents

All drafts:

  • Use a snake draft format

  • Have a 15-second pick timer

NFL Roster Requirements

NFL Daily Drafts consist of 8 rounds, and you must fill the following roster for the upcoming week:

  • 1 QB

  • 2 RB

  • 2 WR

  • 1 TE

  • 2 FLEX

Your lineup scores fantasy points using Sleeper’s standard PPR scoring, just like a traditional fantasy football lineup.

Draft Contests

Once your draft is complete, your $1 entry fee will automatically enter you into a $1 contest to compete against seven other lineups for real-money payouts.

  • Most contests include users from your draft

  • In some cases (such as drafts with CPU bots), you may be matched against users from other draft pools

  • Because of this, lineups in a contest may occasionally share the same players

At the end of the NFL week, lineups are ranked by total fantasy points. The top three lineups are paid out:

$1 Contest Payouts

  • 1st: $4

  • 2nd: $2

  • 3rd: $1

Bonus Contests

If you’re confident in your lineup, you can enter bonus contests after your draft.

  • You have 10 minutes after the draft ends to enter bonus contests

  • Once the timer expires, your lineup can no longer be entered

  • You may enter up to 10 total contests with a single lineup

Bonus Contest Types

  • Head-to-Head: Compete against one other user for one payout

  • Group Contests: Compete against seven other users for three payouts

Bonus contests often match you against users from other draft pools, so overlapping players may occur.

Note: You are not guaranteed to be matched with an opponent. If a bonus contest does not fill before game start, your entry fee will be fully refunded.

Additional Rules & Notes

  • Players who do not play for any reason (including in-game injuries) remain in your lineup

  • Drafts and contests cannot be edited or canceled once entered

  • NFL contests are graded and paid out Monday night, following the final game of the week

  • Results are final once graded and are not affected by official NFL stat corrections made on Tuesday or later

Tiebreakers

If two or more users tie:

  1. The lineup with the highest scoring individual player wins

  2. If still tied, comparison moves to the next-highest scoring player, and so on

Player Availability

  • Players lock 30–60 minutes before kickoff, depending on game start time

  • You will never be matched against users who drafted from a different player pool

Manual Pick Requirement

  • You must make at least one manual pick

  • If your entire lineup is auto-picked, the draft is voided and refunded

Entry Limits

  • One entry per user per contest

  • Users may not control multiple teams in the same draft or contest

Draft Timer Pauses

On rare occasions, the draft timer may pause briefly (30–60 seconds or longer), delaying picks and CPU selections.

Beginner & Intermediate Drafts

These drafts follow standard rules but are limited to specific user groups:

  • Beginner Drafts: Users with 50 or fewer DFS entries

  • Intermediate Drafts: All users except highly-experienced players

Highly-Experienced Players

A user is considered highly experienced if they have:

  • Entered 1,000+ DFS contests, or

  • Won $1,000+ in three or more DFS contests

Highly-experienced users:

  • Cannot enter beginner or intermediate drafts

  • Are identified by a yellow gem icon next to their username

Beginner and intermediate drafts start every 30 minutes, and contests remain within the same user pool.

Age & Location Restrictions

Daily Draft availability depends on your age and location.
