Note: all rules for settlement and determinations of outcomes are set by Kalshi.

  • What happens if a game is postponed or canceled?

    • If Game is postponed but played within the same scheduling week (by Wednesday), Picks remain open and settle normally.

    • If Game is not played within scheduling week, Picks settle at the last fair market price prior to postponement.

    • If Game is abandoned after 55+ minutes played, Picks based on stats accumulated to that point.

    • If Game is abandoned before 55 minutes played, Picks settles at last fair market price unless outcome was already determined.

  • What if a game is forfeited?

    • Final score will be used for settlement

  • How does overtime impact my Picks?

    • All scoring in overtime periods counts toward the final result unless a specific time period (like "first half") is specified.

  • How are ties handled?

    • For Picks asking "Will [Team] win?", a tied game means neither team wins — both Yes and No positions for that team's "win" Pick settle based on the actual outcome (no winner = No). Tied games are not voided or refunded.

  • Settlement timing after event completion

    • Picks will settle no later than the day after the expiration date of an event

    • Event expiration date is up to 15 days following the game (typically settles much faster)

  • How do stat corrections work?

    • Statistics are final at game conclusion

    • Any corrections made after Expiration will not affect settlement’

  • What happens if I pick a spread and the result lands exactly on the number?

    • Most spread and total Picks use half-points (e.g., -3.5, Over 47.5) to avoid this situation entirely.

    • When whole numbers are used, the exact contract language determines the outcome:

      • "Win by at least 3" → Winning by exactly 3 counts as Yes

      • "Win by more than 3" → Winning by exactly 3 counts as No

Always check the specific Pick wording before placing a pick.
