Scoring rules, void policy, and stats offered for Golf

Stats Offered for Golf:

  • Player strokes

  • Player birdies or better

  • Player leaderboard position

  • Player bogies or worse

  • Player pars or better

  • All round-by-round, e.g. strokes for r1, strokes for r2, etc (including leaderboard position)

Stat Definitions:

  • Player Strokes: the total number of strokes (hits) taken to complete each hole and the entire round

  • Player Leaderboard Position: the ranking of golf players in a competitive event (by round or for the full event)

  • Player Pars: “par” is the predetermined number of shots a proficient golfer should take to complete a given hole

  • Player Birdies: "birdie" refers to a score of one stroke under par on a hole

  • Player Bogies: "bogey" refers to a score of one stroke over par on a hole

Golf Picks Rules:

  • In the event multiple golfers are tied, they will be graded with the same finishing position.

    • i.e. if 2 golfers tied for 3rd place at the conclusion of a round or tournament, both would be graded as 3rd place, and the next golfer would be graded as 5th place.

  • Sleeper Picks Golf Injury Insurance

    • If a golfer does not finish the specified round (due to injury, withdrawal, DQ, or any other reason), the pick will be voided.

    • If a tournament/event is canceled, contests will be voided.

    • If a round is suspended for any reason, picks will be scored upon completion of the round (even in the event the of suspension to the next day).
